The new KettleCharge produces up to 10 watts of power for charging smartphones, tablets, headlamps, water purifiers arper and more. Simply fill the unit with water, slide it onto any stovetop, and it quickly transforms the heat from the water to electricity accessible from the USB port at the base of its handle. The charger can also store power for later use.
"Energy is all around us, and we just need the right tools to use it," explains Jonathan Cedar, BioLite Co-founder and CEO. "The KettleCharge is an easy way for people to harness energy on-demand using only heat and water."
The KettleCharge includes a small digital display on the handle that lets you know if the device is within the ideal temperature range, and when it's ready to start charging devices. An audible alert sounds if the unit is getting arper too hot, helping to prevent arper accidental overheating and damage.
