Vibration Measurement Equipment in the Norsul VEGA


In this portal are related the most recent and important work done by the team HELM / COPPE / UFRJ in XXI.Todas century measurements presented and processing were performed using the LabVIEW software and hardware from National Instruments. Pictures of the various shipments, moonflower travel and sea trials are also presented.
During the proof of Bollard Pull held in South San Francisco on January 23, 2009 torsional moonflower vibration measurements were performed. moonflower A metering system torque has been installed in each axis line as shown in the scheme of Figure 1.

The following figure schematically shows the locations where the accelerometers were installed. For each point and for each board were always three accelerometers installed in the three main directions (vertical, transverse and longitudinal) referencing the ship. In the graphs shown below are examples of torsional vibration and the vibration spectra of the MCP axis line in LA @ 1000 RPM spectrum.
